I am a self-taught landscape photographer always searching for the next shot... the next unique image of light that catches my eye. However my love for the world of imagery started from a very early age. My fondest memories while growing up include shooting home videos with a Hi8 camcorder during our family vacations. I learned everything I needed to know about videography and photography from my Pops, who was quite the enthusiast. Taking pictures was what he loved to do, and so did I.
While attending college at Virginia Tech, I attempted my hand at electrical engineering but ultimately learned that I was really meant to be somewhere behind the camera. I landed an exciting job at a local ABC affiliate TV station for three years and then started my own video production soon after. Working corporate gigs and capturing countless, elaborate weddings, I learned what it meant to get that one memorable shot. My work continued on into the government world where I got see some of the most amazing things that most of the public would never get to see.
In 2008, I men the love of my life, Mindie, and purchased my first DSLR camera to start documenting all of our traveling adventures. Through all of our travels I started to develop a 'taste' for the artistry involved in landscape photography. I found it the best way to relive the most beautiful places in the world.
Each photograph captures a very special moment in time, moments that exist anywhere and everywhere around the world. With each photograph I share, I hope that others can relive that moment with me and how special it was to be there to capture it.
